They could have lived and met there six decades ago, somewhere between a Beatles concert and the zinc counter of an English pub: After Geography is this duo made up of two 90's kids with a retro and dandy football look, for whom playing music together is obvious. Define the After Geography style isn't easy. Britpop or Glam Rock, a bit folk in the intention, sometimes punk in the energy: for After Geography after all, the genre doesn't matter, as long as there is music. And it is also to better serve it that the duo surrounds itself with a musician (Camille/drums) and a musician (Arthur/guitar) live and thus gives its songs a new, more raw dimension.

Howlin' jaws is a trio composed by Djivan Abkarian, Lucas Humbert and Baptiste Leon - fans of fifties and sixties music, they released a first album entitled "Strange Effect" full of flamboyant moments and sharp riffs. For their second album "Half Asleep Half Awake" the Parisians made the decision to replace the perfect riffs with successions of psychedelic phases and shattering rhythm signatures. Result: a professional gymnast-style sequence of XXL size hits. For many bands, the second album is that of maturity; for Howlin’ Jaws it is already that of consecration - to listen to half asleep or awake, as you wish.

In the distant din of a sleepless city , the Naked Soft Men frequency oscillates between Post-Punk and modern Garage in search of a certain collective frenzy that resembles a cathodic storm. Get yourself be guided by the strident guitars and the inexhaustible drums dancing on a thread stretched between the furious energy of Idles and a sick rock in the style of Fat White Family. After a first EP 'Kapsalon' unveiled at the end of 2022, the Naked Soft Men will present the EP 'Bad Daddy' in 2024, a second exploratory stage of the band's neuroses and aesthetic principles.

LIVE, ALIVE AND KICKING

A few days ago, we had the honor of playing for the 40th anniversary of the Atelier des Môles in Montbéliard. A legendary concert hall run and maintained by a team of volunteers. A huge thank you to all these enthusiasts who have kept live music alive for so many years.

Another incredible point: we opened for The Professionals, the group of former Sex Pistols: Paul Cook. Another immense honor, as the influence of this drummer has been enormous in music and in Rock’n’Roll.

The story continues with Japanese vodka, a blocked toilet door, a 4m² dressing room, sweat, a little blood and a really classy concert by the Professionals.

The evening ended in the aromas of an Irish pub in the center of Montbéliard in the company of members of The Professionals. In short, we got drunk with Paul Cook.  < /p>

Let's talk a little about exit and in particular about Sortie13, small intimate concert hall in Pessac, in the Bordeaux metropolitan area. This Friday, November 10, he played the trio Sanseverino/Xa Mesa/Jide Jouannic with the opening act, the sixties surf psych group: The Prisoners.

The signature of The Prisoners: taking credits from series from the 60s and 70s to remodel them to their taste.

The rendering? A cleverly crafted garage rock where the themes are recognized but not copied; joyful, powerfully rhythmic and supported by trumpet and trombone. The whole thing gives an exotic mix of rock traveling between decades. Journey between "The Prisoner", "The Avengers" and "The Persuaders", plus compositions of "musical themes" imagined by the group.

Susanne, the only voice on these songs, coming on stage in a 70s space suit to the arranged credits of "Star Trek", bathes us vocalizations like we hear in James Bond soundtracks, and lascivious and sensual yéyé dances like Mata Hari. A real Milanese nightingale if we want to stay in the media of those years. The credits of "Spiderman" never seemed so sexy to us. The group, sometimes surf, sixties or otherwise, creates a great atmosphere. Hear "cosmos 99" in ska version, it puts you in a good mood. The credits of our childhood series revisited with the style of what we listened to as teenagers with a pep and crazy dynamism.

To see absolutely! Guaranteed antidepressant without chemicals!
