THE PRISONERS - INTRODUCING THE BAND

Philippe Simon-Girard aka “Philos”

Philos, guitarist, trumpeter, musical director, creative genius, is a music teacher by profession. That’s why he has no trouble controlling a group of 6 crazy people on stage. Being a huge fan of TV theme songs from the 60s and 70s, he decided to arrange some of them in a punk rock style to play at a friend's birthday party. The Prisoners were born... Thank you, Philos, for bringing us all together! We love you!

Marc Hett aka “Marcus”

Marcus, our awesome trombonist, builder of podiums and master of logistics (for which he will forever be haunted by our gratitude!) He’s a close friend of Philos’ and co-founder of The Prisoners. He does not have whatsapp and also hates social networks, which made it really difficult to gain some information for this post. Thankfully, the social media department annoyed some bandmembers into giving up some details. He likes the good things in life; good food and wine, time with friends. He’s got some serious dance moves in him when he’s on stage. He gets ton of praise for his awesome beard. He has the softest heart and gives the best hugs. Also, he’s responsable for all the logistics for The Prisoners and we’re ever so grateful!

Susanne Pemmerl aka “Susy”

The last member to join was our singer Susanne from Munich, Germany. A girl must be a bit crazy to go on tour with a group of men, and she definitely is. Luckily, she is also crazy about music. She is a trained opera singer and actress that loves the Beatles and adores dancing and meditating. She also talks way too much (according to other band members. Who are, of course, wrong). Because it’s her that is writing all these posts, it would be immodest to talk about all of her amazing qualities here, but just have a look at our videos to see for yourself whether she is any good. Although she does stand up comedy as a hobby, the funniest things happen when she tries to speak French without the help of a translation program.

Sébastien Grienti aka "Séba"

Actually, Séba is more of a guitarist than a bassist, but because he loves The Prisoners, he makes an exception.

He’s with us since August 2021 and has rarely thought about leaving. Although he’s with other bands as well, he likes us the most (is what he said under pressure). Sèba loves Rockabilly, Ennio Morricone, and pasta a la Norma.

We love Séba. He’s just fantastic!

Etienne Meyer aka “Tiki”

Social Media Department:

- Etienne, I need infos to present you on instagram

Etienne:

- I am the drummer.

Social Media Department:

- You are annoying.

So, Etienne is our drummer and has been with The Prisoners since their conception (which sounds weird, but let’s leave it at that). He’s a multi instrumentalist, loves sudoku and nature, hates oysters but still loves to eat them, and is pretty quiet until you give him a drum kit. Has the best hair of all of us, that’s why our singer got herself a massive wig.

Lucas Gentilhomme aka “Looks”

Meet our keys player Lucas: he's as nimble with his fingers as he is with his longboard, and his Hammond organ and clavinet sounds sting as much as they make you wanna dance. He’s a real man of class; he warms up with Bach and keeps acquiring sheet music wherever we tour to enhance his repertoire. When Lucas is in charge of the music in the tourbus, you get to hear pretty much any style. Never a dull moment with Lucas.
